Regression Test List Sharding in a Distributed Test Environment

One of the major issues during regression test new version Real Time Operating System (RTOS) is time involved in case execution. The main reason being a single embedded system device under (DUT) used to execute list containing several cases. This traditional method also leads wasted productivity other devices at hand that could be otherwise this test. Hence, paper, we propose technique aims reducing overall cycle newer by employing known as “test-list sharding” distributed environment. In proposed work, multiple DUTs are connected server via communication network. executes cases and performs test-list sharding, is, distributing different executing them parallel. After executed on DUT, results sent back which will summarize all results. sharding done without overloading or loading any DUTs. Test sharded such way same tests not advantage can easily scalable accommodate number server.
